History

1936 Establishment of a film complex in Zlín by the Baťa company (FAB – Filmové ateliery Baťa)
1937 Start of operations of the film laboratories
1942 Film studio and laboratories under the administration of the German occupation
1945 Nationalization of Czechoslovak film, i.e. including the Baťa Film Studios and the laboratories
1950 The laboratories become part of the Barrandov Film Laboratory
1955 Joint “Gottwald” (the name of Zlín under Communism) headquarters of both companies: studios and laboratories
1975 The laboratories as a branch of the Barrandov Film Laboratories
1980 Major innovations in the production of magnetic media
1992 Both businesses, studio and laboratory, incorporated into the company Ateliéry Zlín
1998 Arrival of a strategic partner, the name is changed to Ateliery Bonton Zlín
1999 Laboratories specialize in the restoration of archival film
2001 Reconstruction of the laboratories
2019 Entry of KINOSERVIS s.r.o., name change to Film Laboratories Zlín
